The hottest dish in DC?

I’ve lived in DC for a lot of years now, and in that time I’ve been to a lot of restaurants. I know a number people who’ve been in DC for many years and who’ve also eaten at a lot of restaurants. And we all agree. The hottest, spiciest dish you can get in DC is the Suicide Curry at Spices (3333 Conn. Ave NW) up in Cleveland Park. Since the first time I dined there 11 years ago, Spices has gone from a dank hole-in-the-wall to a well-lit, trendy eatery, but they’ve always had suicide curry on their menu, and it’s always been so hot that even the most calloused palettes have had a difficult time finishing it. I did a poll of people I know, and none of them could suggest another dish that was even close. Give it a try, I dare ya!

So, there you have it, my choice for hottest dish in DC. Unless you’ve got a better suggestion…

Easily the hottest dish in town. So hot that it def. gets the internal juices flowing — in a good way.

Oh boy! I love spicy foods. The challenge has been set before me and I intend to pick it up!
