Easter Snow

easter bunnyIt seems the ghost of Easter past is holding its grip on winter like grim death. After a week of gorgeous spring weather, with some days breaking the 80 degree mark, the past few days have seen temps plunge back into the 30s. This morning I woke to light snow on the ground and a temperature of 26.

In the midwest, this would be all too common and even laughable. But Washingtonians dread cold and snow, and I suspect they are eager to see the arrival of spring for real. Personally, I wish the trees would just finish leafing out because that damn pollen is kicking my ass (or sinuses rather).

It’s kind of strange actually, looking out the window and seeing partially green trees with a dusting of snow covering them. But not for long, we should see a mix of sun and clouds with highs approaching 60 next week. I’ll take another 15 on top of that, but it’s better than 30. Thanks Easter Bunny!
