When the odds are sayin’ you’ll never win

According to Tom, our slumping Nationals played “Heart” from Damn Yankees during the 7th inning. I have been an advocate for making this song a Nats tradition, but it seems to be played infrequently thus far.

Let it be noted the Nationals came back from a five run deficit to win in the bottom of the 9th for their first victory of the season.

The victory today was really sweet, I’ve rarely seen as good a 9th inning.

They played it Tuesday night. I was really for it, but it really seemed to suck the life — such as it was — out of the building. I don’t think anyone knew what the hell it was.

“…that’s when your grin should start!”

“Inexplicable” has to be the best description of the use of “Country Boy” at O’s games I’ve ever heard. Plus, DC is full of smart people; they can learn a show tune.

As I always tell any Yankees fan I meet — “Don’t you know there was a whole Broadway show about how evil they are?”

    I’m with ya!
