just about an inch of ice here in Lynchburg, Virginia. The roads are pretty bad and most of the area schools and business are closed on monday.
1″ in Fairlington, and some nasty roads to boot.
It snowed?
Sincerely,
Winter Snob
Looks like about 2″ inches in Ashton, MD.
Oops. Disregard “inches.”
This is what I get for typing this late.
I’m with Stacey on this one. I have to laugh when a mere inch or two of snow causes everyone to panic and close schools and businesses. WaPo goes even so far as to characterize roads as “treacherous.” Whatever, with highs around 40 today and later in the week, most of it will be gone soon enough.
The roads aren’t treacherous because of the snow on them, Doug, they’re treacherous because of the loons on them who lack a lick of sense. The snow just provides the loons a whole new platform for their reckless idiocy.
I couldn’t agree more Don, drivers in the DC area go into a panic after so much as a light rain.
