Do Cargo Trucks Make You Nervous?

We live in Washington DC. A super high profile terrorist profile city.

A city that should fear cargo trucks like this. Trucks that leveled a Federal building in Oklahoma. Trucks once thought to harbor snipers.

Yet do you fear a truck like this one, innocently parked on a random street corner?

Most days I do not even notice them. Other days, like today, I do.

Am I irrationally paranoid? Are you?

yes, you are paranoid. Irrational maybe not. Ultimately life is dangerous one way or another, all you can do is live it. Driving on the beltway is statistically a much great danger than any form of terrorism, and yet most people around here still drive like idiots. And don’t forget, Israel has armed checkpoints and missile-equipped helicopters flying around and people still get blown up. What can you do except live your life?

it’s ok to think of dangers around us sometimes.
paranoid is when you see a truck around every corner or when you say mean words for no reason.
