No good deed goes unpunished?

If you want to keep you security clearance, you might not want to host minor league ballplayers in your home (The Post). Kim Gore, a U.S. Army logistician at Fort Belvoir, is currently “under review” because some of the players that lived with her this past season were foreign nationals. It is customary for minor league ballplayers (in this case, the Potomac Nationals) to stay in the homes of local residents. This has become an issue because Gore had access to a secure computer network from her home. She feels as though she is being “crucified.”

Is this is case of a government being paranoid or a sensible?
