Gas Price Oddity
Yeah, prices are going down to sane levels again, as evidence by this Hess station, but what’s going on that it’s happening in such an odd fashion? Check out the Shirlington Shell by my house, which is $0.30 more per gallon for regular as of Monday afternoon, compared to this Tuesday afternoon capture of the Hess on Washington Boulevard. A few cents, yeah, I can let that slide, but $0.30 more per gallon? That’s like $5 more per tank for my Jetta.
How are gas prices in your neighborhood?
I paid under $2 in Richmond this weekend.
Tom already got my local hess – so here’s an update from the sunoco on quaker in alexandria:
Regular: 2.49
Plus: 2.63
Super: 2.75
The Liberty in Cherrydale (my usual low) is at $2.24 right now.
I live in NW (2.69/2.79/2.99), was in Prince William County yesterday (1.99/2.09/2.19)
It was nice.
I paid $2.33 for regular this afternoon, but I really wanted to stop at the Texaco on New Hampshire right before Eastern Ave yesterday when it was $2.23, but there was a line out the damn station.
See the bike route sign? $0.00 for gas if you go that way.
Sorry, Wayan, my clients object to me showing up like I just showered in my clothes.
