I will hike 100 miles
Anyone else have The Proclaimers’ I’m gonna be (500 miles) lyrics running through their head?
Montgomery County Park & Planning is challenging YOU to hike 100 miles in 100 days. Although the initiative began Memorial Day, there’s still time to get in 100 miles before Labor Day. Keep track of your mileage with this handy log and calendar [PDF] and download trail maps to help you on your way.
Always remember to be safe on the trails, inform someone of where you plan to be, and for how long. Carry important safety gear with you, stay on trail, and most important of all, respect the trail.
There are many ways to get involved, take a look at the Activities and Programs the County puts on, or donate your time and volunteer to help with trail maintenance.

Well I do NOW. *sob*
This is an awesome program! Thanks Mik.
Don: Sorry, I can think of much worse though.
Tom: Anyone up for a little hiking next weekend? I bet between all the Metbloggers we could walk 100 miles (collectively of course).
Sure! I’d be up for some miles!
