Not having posted for a while, due to my status as hostage at work for the past two weeks, (185 hours of utter misery), I thought i better get something up here before the blog gods deny access to me.
So::
1.Hot Weather Photo Challenge.

We’re looking for photographs that give the feeling of excruciating
heat. An egg frying on the sidewalk is an obvious example; hot,
rising air enveloping suit-wearing men and women works, too. People
consuming vast quantities of chilled beverages at outdoor cafes on
18th Street is another example. Feel free to use your imagination
(assuming there’s any left after the heat zaps all brain cells.)

If you take a photograph that screams “hot,” add it to the our Flickr
group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/clevelandpark/ Instructions on
how to add your photos are on our Flickr site, too. Photos can be
taken anywhere in the DC Metro area.

2. Nobody knows DC like the metrobloggers! The Washington Post is having its 5th Annual Reader’s Choice Best Bets contest. Several of your favorite business are in the running.
You have until Juy 28th to place your Bet and you may only vote once.
