Gluten Free Peeps to Love

So, in the last week, I’ve encountered 3 separate food joints that cater to those of us who can’t tolerate the glutens. They are Ben & Jerry’s, Burrito Brothers, and Legal Seafood. The first 2 openly acknowledge food allergies on their over-the-counter menus (and train their people to walk you through what you can and can’t eat), and Legal Seafood has it’s very own Celiac menu.

Eating croutons without barfing is a beautiful thing, y’all.

That’s amazing! I’m happy to hear that, a full menu. I’ve heard that PF Chang’s has one as well. I am new to being GF, and it’s so hard for me. So hard. But hearing things like this make it a little easier. Thanks for sharing the belly loving news!

This is great news! I am new to GF eating and its tough to find a yummy place to eat out with friends without getting sick. I have been sticking to the GF line at Whole Foods and the Amys brand frozen foods (some of them are sans gluten!)

What are the benefits of gluten free again?

Danny – take a gander at http://www.celiac.org/ which will tell you a bit about Celiac Disease and the reason those suffering from it have the need to go gluten free.

I’ve been looking for GF beer for awhile now, that is one of the things I miss the most. Beer is not my friend right now. Please, leave a comment on my site if someone finds some local beer, and to where I don’t have to order online.

    I also have a http://www.glutenfreeindc.blogspot.com
    site I’m trying out….

There needs to be more DC places!
