while we are on the graffiti theme…
The Washington Project for the Arts and the Corcoran are presenting an exhibition of works by street and graffiti artists in the old Staples in Georgetown. The opening reception just happens to be tonight, 6:30-8:30 p.m. The exhibition runs through March 26th.
What hilarious timing! This is turning into our first theme “issue” of DC Metroblogs.
At the link Jen posts it adds that there’s a show of sorts after the reception; I think I will try to go and take some notes for a follow-up tomorrow.
9:30 pm TONIGHT (February 23, after Opening Reception) – Projection artist fi5e will be projecting his “graffiti analysis” interactive video at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. (500 17th Street, NW)
Weird that it’s so late and across town from the official opening. Anyone else up for going? It’s late enough that I can get my gym time in and still make it over…
I wonder, since bOrf is a student at the Corcoran….are his works featured?
