Corner Bakery Sold to Bullhorn Makers
The super loud manager that thinks Hispanics are deaf was at it again today. Apparently the Corner Bakery chain has been sold – not that I knew that from the press, but because Captain Loud Mouth was shouting at another one of his workers today while I was waiting for my lunch.
Maybe legitimately, I’m not sure, but he was talking about how Corner Bakery was sold, reminding her that he gathered all the staff in the back room (programming question: if one ridiculous man thinks shouting because someone doesn’t know English very well has to address a staff with quite a few folks that don’t speak English very well, exactly how loud will he shout?), told them the company had been sold and that if they wanted to stay on board they could, or they could find other employment, but that they had to understand they would technically be switching companies.
No word from what I found on if the name, menu, etc. will stay the same, but it sounded like the day-to-day stays the same for the employees. Whatever the specifics, this manager needs a good talking to. Hmmm… maybe I’ll have to ask for him when I go for some coffee later…
p.s. The employee had plastic gloves on.
I’m sure that’s a message that got through real well to anyone whose command of the language isn’t great. I’ve worked a lot of service jobs over the years and never once did it make a rat’s ass worth of difference to me who was holding the reins. I hope this clown and his stellar communications skills didn’t leave any of his already suffering employees thinking they’d be out of work soon…
Please don’t use the bullhorn, I have high blood pressure.
