Because Nothing Says “Perfect for Public Office” like Spam

After spending last week with politicians and budding wannabe politicians, I didn’t think I could be surprised.

I was wrong.

The race in Ward 3 between Sam Brooks and Jonathan Rees has gotten uglier and ugliers as the days have gone by. Name calling, petty assholatry, everything short of full out tabloid warfare (which I expect to kick in next month, early on) and then a descent into ballroom blitz by the election. But this is just damn ridiculous, people.

I wish the mainstream media would pick up on this guy once and for all. It is getting old and is beginning to chill discourse of all of the candidates.

The steps taken against private and public people is simply sad and outrageous.

By the way, this isn’t a Brooks versus Rees issue. Other than Rees’s rants against Brooks, where do you see Sam Brooks involved at all? This is all Rees. He posts, he rants and for some reason, you are involving and legitimizing claims against Brooks even though he is nowhere near any of this.

I am not suppoortive of any candidate in this race yet, however the characterization that drags Brooks into this is simply wrong.

Check the Washington Post article from last week:

Please show me ANYWHERE you can that Brooks has engaged in the name calling, and petty assholatry as you call it. You won’t find any (unless you find some of the early posts of Rees posing as Brooks. Yes Rees is a sick, sick twisted man).

Your statement putting Brooks on par with Rees is just cruel.

Please get your facts straight before making accusations. And please stop feeding the out of control fire that is Rees.
