No panic at the Bling Bling Giant
In a fit of boredom, the YMCA and the National Gallery being closed to my hoped-for visit today, I headed over to the Bling Bling Giant just to see if the collective DC snow-insanity was wiping the isles and shelves clean.
Nope, seems my Mt Pleasant/Columbia Heights brethren are like me, chilling with a smile when snow days happen. No panic, no mass milk, eggs, bread, Charmin buying going on. Only the usual this and that.
The big difference? I got into three snowball fights on the way there and two on the way back. For a tropics-lover, I know how to toss a snowball. Three years in Russia and I had these DC kids begging for mercy. The Mom sneak-attack though, that was cold!
Hahaha, I take it the Bling Bling Giant isn’t next door to Whole Paycheck Foods?
The Adams Morgan Safeway looks like any other Sunday afternoon as well (I’m not panicking, just out of food). The milk aisle’s empty, but then again, it always is.
