peace sign dancer

now that i’m a blogger, i really have to remember to carry my camera with me at all times. i am not going to be able to describe this to y’all with any accuracy, so you just have to go by and hope to get a look for yourself.

have you ever seen those guys that are paid to hold a big sign for a mattress or furniture sale? you know how they will wave it around and flip it over to get your attention? i see them a lot on rockville pike. well, last night i was driving on Nebraska Ave. around 7 pm and at the corner of Nebraska and Connecticut, there was this guy who had one of those signs, except it had a peace sign on one side and (i think) “no war” on the other.

but what was so awesome was that he wasn’t just standing there waving the sign, he was rocking out. this guy had serious moves. it was like breakdancing while juggling a 3-foot sign. too cool for school.

has anyone else seen this guy? i can’t believe i didn’t have my camera.

Time to upgrade. May I suggest the Nokia 6682? You can post right to Metblogs, via Flickr, from the phone.

All the cool kids are doing now.

No kidding- I carry my camera everywhere with me now, and it’s always on the day that the battery is dead or I forgot to put it back in my bag after downloading photos that the cool stuff happens.

Keeping my camera with me at all times is the reason I have become one of those dudes with a ManBag (or murse as my ever-so-sarcastic lady calls it). But I’m secure in my masculinity and sexuality and all those other ty-s, so it’s okay. And it lets me get such gems as this.

I do have a 6682, though it’s still not up to my former-photographer standards for anything else but last resort photos. I’ll have to get Wayan to teach me how to do the one-step to flickr&metblogs thing.
