A January 23 indictment was unsealed last Thursday, charing a group of people with running a drug ring, primarily out of Montgomery County in Maryland. Here’s the article in the Gazette covering the event, which didn’t draw much attention in any of the other news outlets. I probably would have disregarded this story also (just another DC crack cocaine ring…), had it not been so close to home. One of the properties that the indictment called for forfeiture is literally right down the street from us on Owens Way in Brandywine – perhaps there’s a “for sale” sign in the nearby future?
