The Cable’s Out!
I had this uber-productive night planned. I was going to this event for work (which I did), then come home and sit on my couch and get caught up on emails from work – which is a days work in itself. I was actually kind of excited about this too.
I get home, I turn on the TV. Ahhhhhh!!!! Blue screen! No! I’m not even a TV person, I don’t have shows I watch or even watch TV every day by any stretch (if you don’t count the news being one while I’m getting ready in the morning). But when I want to sit here and catch up on work at night for a couple hours, I want some news talkers or dumb sitcoms on in the background. But no. Blue. Blue. And more blue.
Anyone else’s cable out? I live in North Arlington at 66 and Spout Run. Should I be calling the cable company, or are you my neighbors out too?
I’ll do anything I can to avoid the cable company.
Just surf over to http://www.current.tv and watch some of their news pods. It might feed the need.
Two words, baby. Bit & Torrent. Aw yeahhhhh.
Well, I evidently live near you, but I can’t say anything on the cable as I currently don’t own a TV.
UPDATE! It’s back! But now I am being decidedly less productive. I think it’s more of a comfort thing knowing I don’t have to call the cable company, I can certainly sit here in the quite and finish up the work.
JL – I love where I live b/c of the area, and the tiny community within this mega block of people that is North Arlington.
Not sure who you have Stacy, but in my view Comcast sucks while RCN rocks.
Wayan, it’s unfortunately all Comcast here in North Arlington.
Stacey, I wholeheartedly agree. There’s a world of difference between here and all of the condo towers hovering the Orange Line.
