BoingBoing DC History
While WFY is getting BoingBoing-ed for his Barryversary, DC’s own Mark Jenkins got BoingBoing-ed a few minutes before for his Meter Pops street installation. Now while a double DC entry on BoingBoing is reason for DC to celebrate, I wonder if Boing Boing noticed one small little detail:
Marks’ Meter Pop’s installation date of January 17, 2005.
Check your dates next time BoingBoing. His current work is in Fairfax parks.
You might consider taking your own advice. If you go to the the Meter Pops installation page (http://www.storker.net/meterpops.html), the date of the photos is clearly labeled as 1/15/06. Of course, it’s entirely possible that Jenkins had used the wrong date initially and has since gone back and corrected it, but the end result is that your post is the one that’s in error, not BoingBoing’s.
He’s changed it. Here’s a screen shot from my cache as proof that yesterday, when I wrote this post, his website said 1/17/05.
lol–dude don’t you have anything better to do that nitpick at boingboing? so what if the artist got the wrong date and has since changed it. im finding myself still writing 05 on my checks too.
