Public Transit Heaven

Today I had a perfect public transportation experience. The stars were aligned, I tell you. I walk out of my apartment just as the bus rolls up to take me to the Metro; arrive at the top of the station stairs as my train is just coming to a stop; make my transfer at Metro Center the same way; get to Foggy Bottom and my bus is waiting for me at the top of the stairs. I get to work a full 15 MINUTES before I needed to be there.

And, vice versa!

Yes, the exact same thing happened on the way home, putting me through my front door a good 20 minutes before I normally get here.

See, the stars ARE aligned today…which also means that Texas will beat USC tonight!

It’s a beautiful thing when that happens. :) It’s all too rare for the Metro stars to be in alignment … well, for Metro anything to be in alignment.

I love those days. Of course, sometimes they turn into Metro Horror….

I have to say. I was going to curse you for using up all the star power on your commute. What a game. Whew.

You know, I hate to brag…but, I also predicted a 42-38 final score, and I have it in writing!

    Today was a special day!

And what a sweet victory it was… I have a good friend who transferred to Austin from the DC metro area and she said the city has gone crazy! What a game!!!!
