Kennedy Center dedicated to Youth and Families

Some of you may have noticed over the past couple of years a tremendous amount of construction going on in and around the Kennedy Center. In addition to expanding the parking garage and creating new plazas on the north and south sides of the building (among many other improvements), one of the final projects to be completed was unveiled on December 9th – a brand new Family Theater. This 324-seat theater found its home where the old AFI Theater used to be and will be used primarily for youth and family programming. I viewed it for the first time yesterday and it is absolutely state-of-the-art and acoustically amazing. Even if you aren’t young or have no children, I would highly recommend taking in a show at this new theater in the near future.
