mixer – watch what you say, a blog about the online content / media industry, held a mixer last week in tyson’s and recently posted some thoughts on it. all in all, i think they were intrigued by the dc network of online cos. the big boys were all in force (aol, nat geo, npr, pbs, washpo, discovery, usatoday, etc.) plus some smaller ops, but interesting they’re based in this area (weatherbug, maven networks, ruckus, etc.).

i will say, be careful what you say. realizing the organization that sponsored it thrives on essentially news-worthy gossip, this was not as “friendly” of a mixer as it seems. open bar and free appetizers will loosen lips real fast. but all in all, it helps elevate the status of dc as a internet / media hub and we may be doing these mixers things more often…
