colonial williamsburg baby
oh what a rainy weekend to head out to colonial williamsburg. the drive should have only taken 2.5 hours, but traffic south on 95 nowadays on a weekend is unbearable. it’s taken upwards of 4 hours to get there.
i will say, the restaurants in williamsburg have taken a step up. we had a great lunch at the blue talon. i totally recommend the fried oysters, chicken salad sandwich, the special blue talon cocktail w/secret ingredients and finally, dessert that my friends could not pass up — the paris brest [sic] — yes we giggled a little on that one. i now know the dessert is named after a bicycle wheel after a Parisian pastry cook whose p
