Things to Do – Drink Cheap Beer

Say you’re one of the “new influx of young professionals to our area each September” and you wanna do something really cool and DC Thursday night. May I suggest a DC institution that will educate you like no other on what it means to be drinking in DC? Yes, folks who know better, I’m talking Lulu’s.

And funny enough, Things To Do is making an extra effort to teach these new members of our community the fun of Lulu’s with their Welcome to D.C. Kickoff Party. For $10, you too can get wasted on cheap beer with cheaper cohorts. Quality you will not find at Lulu’s, but a beer goggle beauty, you just might.

Me, I’ve never been, I swear, and I’d like to keep it that way, if only for my liver. You, enjoy & remember this event features a DJ and dancing, as well as, food and drink specials. It’s classy too, so leave your sneakers and baseball caps at home.

Things To Do Welcome to D.C. Kickoff Party
Thursday @ Lulu’s, 1217 22nd Street, $10.00

    I don’t think I’ve ever heard Lulu’s described as “classy”…

Not to seem like a fact-checking weasel, but the website you linked to says this is on Thursday night not tonight.

It also says that it attracts over a 1000 people each year. Now that’s some party.

Thursday Night Update: from Things To Do

Given this event is taking place at Lulu’s – evoking a spirit of Mardi Gras, we would like to strengthen the spirit of all of those from New Orleans and the surrounding areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Tonight, a portion of all proceeds will go to assist with the recovery efforts and relief for victims suffering from Hurricane Katrina.
