Sushi Taro
I ate in Sushi Taro (1503 17th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20036, U.S.A.) the other night and had a really great meal. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building on 17th & P (above CVS). It was recommended to me by a friend as excellent, authentic sushi and Japanese food.

Definitely agree. They also have a fantastic Cherry Blossom Festival event every year that’s all-you-can-eat. Delish. I love the sushi chefs there – some of the same faces for the past ten years – and they are extremely talented.
Sushi Taro is, bar none, my favorite place for Sushi in the area, but when I’m looking for something a little closer to home (I live in Alexandria), there is a little place on the main drag in Shirlington that’s pretty close too. And they have tempura spicy tuna rolls. Yum.
I’ll be sure to check it out. In the meantime, here’s a link to the restaurant’s website.
