Don’t be scared, be…huh?
My brother pointed out tonight that the motto Metro is promoting (“Don’t be scared, be prepared”) doesn’t do much to alleviate people’s fears. Be prepared…how? We also discussed the fact that the motto was probably thought up by a bunch of men in suits who took three hours to come up with it and then went out for martinis.
So how can we improve the slogan? Haiku? A limerick? Couplets? Submit your Metro poetry in the comments and maybe we can convince the Metro officials to spice up their motto.
Anti-Terrorism Haiku
keep your eyes open
suspicious acts surround you
scared of my shadow
Get your nose out of that Harry Potter
Do your part as a terrorist spotter.
or
The wheels of the train go round and round
Personal freedom goes down and down.
or
Come on people now
Spy on your brother
Everybody is a suspect
Try to bug one another right now.
Anti-Terorism Haikuu II
preventing terror
turning in metro riders
all riders suspects
