As I will provide the entertainment this evening, I wanted to let you all know a little bit more about the weekly dance/listening party that’s backing up this event – CRASH!

Once upon a time, this weekly par-tay was called Trash, and featured mostly alternative, brit-pop, and shoe gazing music. Once we decided to diversify, CRASH was born – it’s a genre-bending listening party/bop-your-head-night that has been going on every Wednesday for the last few months, but will switch over to Thursdays as of next week.

CRASH is brought to you by yours truly, DJ Lil E, and my pal the lovely and talented DJ PGee with the cutest bartender in the land, Joe Basila, slinging the bevvies all night long! (oh, and if the song’s good enough, Joe WILL dance with you…) Emphasis on songs that make you feel good from all genres including, but not limited to, indie rock, new wave and hip hop. We feature a different album or artist every week (and also play stuff other than that, of course, it just gives us a bit of a theme to work with), and always take suggestions and/or requests.

This week’s featured artist (in honor of our visiting bloggers): Kraftwerk. What better band to capture the spirit of the computer, I ask you?
