Ethnical? Okay, who the hell is doing the copyediting over at the Post?

I sure do love those weddings where people honor their “ethnical” traditions.

Guys, you’re one of the most respected papers in the country. You could maybe pay a little more attention. And run spellcheck.

[Better still, they’ve declared Rehnquist Dead/Retired in their RSS feed. –Ed.]

Please don’t hate me for pointing this out, but I think their usage is actually correct. “Ethnical” is a real adjective.

It’s solely an adjective, unlike the more commonly used “ethnic” which can be used as either a noun or an adjective.

I agree that “ethnical” is possibly not the best choice due to its infrequent usage, but they are still correct. Damn them!

I’m glad to see someone else loves grammar as much as I do! :)

Forget grammar, my fav are the groundbreaking stories like Monday’s Teens’ Take: Sex Is All Around Them article which tells us that, wow! teens talk about sex. I’m glad they told me, cuz I figured they talked about the effects of German reunification on the NATO Alliance, like I did as a teen.

    Bravo, Jenn.

Perhaps the DC Metblogs editors could maybe pay a little more attention. And check a dictionary.
