“Is there something to do?”
This friday at the Zucchbar in Adam’s Morgan my good friends from Medusa Promotions are hosting “It’s No Good”, an all Depeche Mode dance party.
That’s right, all Depeche Mode spun all night long!
A novel idea, for sure, but what a great band to highlight. Particularly their holy trinity of albums:
“Music For The Masses”
“Violator”
“Songs of Faith and Devotion”
Nuff said.
Address, times, and complimentary entrance RSVP are all here.
I’ll be there.
I just can’t get enough.
What no “Black Celebration” in that holy trinity? I would have totally swapped that in instead of “Faith and Devotion” Blasphemy!
As you know Dana, “Black Celebration” is one of my all time personal favorites.
However I think it’s those 3 albums that really cement DM’s position as one of the greatest bands of all time.
The more years that pass since “Faith and Devotion” came out, the more I appreciate it. Gahan’s vocals never sounded better than on that album. It really is one of the best vocal performances by a pop singer ever.
