Boycott!
A word of advice: do not place delivery orders with Chef Express in Falls Church. We placed an order last night, around 6:45, and were told that we would have about a 50-minute wait. (Is that standard now? I don’t order in food a lot.) Around 7:45 or so, the food still hadn’t arrived, so we called back. They hadn’t even left yet. Apparently they were “very busy” and most likely understaffed, but it would’ve been nice if they’d told us that. We could have driven over and gotten it in that amount of time. The food didn’t arrive until some time after 8. Yeah, it was good, but I didn’t enjoy waiting that long for it.
Really . . . aren’t there bigger things in life to complain about than waiting an extra half hour for a meal? I mean, think of how many people in the DC area didn’t eat dinner last night, period.
Yes, true, but my job is to report on happenings in D.C. and the surrounding areas. I’m just doing my job.
I hear ya . . . sorry if I sounded harsh.
It is true, we do love hearing about the things you encounter and experiences you have in D.C. But telling us your food was a half hour late is like telling us your commute took an extra half-hour. This kind of thing happens all the time. And in my honest opinion, it’s not appropriate to suggest a boycott unless you have a justifiable reason. This situation hardly warrants one.
Wow. I was joking, guys. And I was just warning people about that restaurant. It’s like the opposite of a restaurant recommendation.
