Again?!? Perhaps a chemistry lesson is in order.

Well, looks like more idiot kids in the DC school system decided to be jerks. There was more mercury found at Cardozo High School this morning. A week ago, two idiot kids spilled some mercury in the school which caused the school to be shut down for decontamination and cleaning. To pay for the decontamination/cleaning, the federal government will be paying $150,000 out of the Superfund. Anyways, there aren’t many details about this new spill, so I might be jumping the gun a bit when it comes to talking about more idiot kids.

Really, though. Mercury is dangerous. Either these kids aren’t being taught basic science lab skills or they are complete idiots who have no regard for their own or others’ health. Either way, DC schools just got another black eye.

While everyone is attacking the school sytem, who is asking the parents of the idiot kids why their kids are such idiots?

When did it become not okay to expect parents to raise their children and be responsible for their behavior? It is the parents of these children who should be scrutinized. I can only imagine what it must be like to be an educator in this school system.
