In the Washington, DC region, I advise nonprofits, small businesses, & community outreach programs on making their online identity more visible & integrated. Regularly I teach basic online video production to advocacy groups which is a thrill. It's gratifying to observe that moment when students and clients realize just how accessible (and fun) social media tools can be. That's when the creative empowerment begins ... to emerge online communities, expand their funds of knowledge, & even their sphere of influence and social capital.
