Pity you can’t read this

Yes, you, the 20,000+ folks in NE & NW DC who do not have power. No power means no Internet, that is unless you have a laptop and happen to be in Dupont Circle WiFi range or use old-school dial-up. DSL & Cable modem folks, sorry, but you’re off line. How do I know this, while throwing dice in Vegas? Ah, my DC text alert says:

PEPCO reports approximately 20,140 residents w/o power. NE & NW mostly
affected; WASA reports no concerns; Metro Bus advises of bus detours due to downed trees; DCEMA reports approx. 90 downed trees (all reported) in the DC area.

And last night, Lonely Palm Tree thought it wise to stand outside during a thunderstorm. He also foolishly stayed online too, risking a fried motherboard. Anyway, sorry for you loss of power, but at least WASA is filling your tap.
