Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am among those who have experienced the joy of being nailed by the Metro cops for eating a banana on the platform at Metro Center. It was the middle of the day, running between meetings, and no time for lunch. I managed to swallow and toss the evidence so they didn’t arrest me, but I think if I hadn’t been extremely apologetic it was a possibility.
