I've got beef (ha!) with El Pollo Rico, though: they do not serve fried yuca, which is an integral part of the Peruvian chicken experience, almost important as the chicken itself. For this reason I prefer Crisp & Juicy in Falls Church, or Wild Chicken in Fairfax.

I'm a huge fan - went there several times a week when I lived in Clarendon. I can't believe you drove from Clarendon though - come on. The parking sucks and it's not that far.

Anyway, I only make it over once or twice a month now that I live farther away, but I still love it.

OMG the Pollo Rico is the BEST. I used to live in Clarendon before the new Market Common went up, when PR was next to the old 7-11 on Wash Blvd (there was an Ollies Trolley there too...one-stop shopping). When the wind was right the smoke from their ovens would waft over the three blocks to our house and we would HAVE to go over and get some delicious chicken.
