I’m interested to know more about the person who contributed the skull to the collection. Why was there so much mystery surrounding the donation? Why was the letter unsigned? Why didn’t the contributor bring it to the museum in person?

I wonder how much if any investigation the anthropologist lends to the source of such an artifact. Tracking down and contacting the person who donated the piece might be a good way to discern the origin of the piece. There must be a trail of ownership.
