It gets 27 MPG on average. I only have about $4500 invested in the car. I would like to see an E85/electric hybrid (go corn power!) in the future that would be in the 40 to 50 MPG range. Hopefully one of the major auto manufacturers will come up with one, so that there would be a national dealer and service network to support the car. It's like an all-weather scooter. I understand they really do have good room inside for us tall guys. I am 6'4" as well and can am used to driving in a 1996 Corolla. One mm less space would be too small. I doubt it's smaller than that. In the meantime, it's a toss-up between a Smart Car and a <a href="http://www.tuktuknorthamerica.com/" rel="nofollow">tuk-tuk</a> for $4000. I’d get one if I had the money.
