Working Hard for a Parking Spot

I worked damn hard for this parking spot at 10th and F Street tonight.

First, I helped a flustered woman figure out how to open her super fancy car. Then, when we realized her issue was a dead battery, not being blonde, I jumped started her car.

My reward for doing good deed? A one-hour parking zone till 9pm and it was only 6pm. A night of meter feeding then ensued.

No good deed goes unpunished, eh?

Wayan, aren’t you Mr. No Car? Did you have to buy one after you moved way up North?

    Parking downtown is the suck.

I was car-free till inherited the Jetta with the wife. During the summer I am still car free, but with the wind chill of yesterday, I appreciated her ride.

Since streets are becoming more crowded and congested every day, I think its time we think about two seated small cars. It does not always make sense that a single person should occupy that large volume of space and road when that person is driving on the road. We can opt for a car small with enough power to pull. This way, we will have more cars that can adjust in a limited parking spot!
