Pantsgate Judge to Lose Bench?

Well, it’s really got to suck to be Roy Pearson. First, your pants gets lost, and you have to file a ridiculously wrong $54 million suit. Second, you go to trial, and lose, over that very same suit. Third, you may be out of a job entirely before long, thanks in now small part to your suit.

Never mind all the resources Pearson wasted in that trial, and all the man-hours of local media outfits associated with it, what about the guy’s job?

Should Pearson stay on the bench, or should he get run out of town on a rail?

I wish I’d saved the link but I have seen other articles that mentioned this isn’t Pearson’s only frivolous suit. He’s abused his JD before.

    Aha. Near the end.

In 2005, in his divorce suit, Virginia courts ordered him to pay his ex-wife, also a lawyer, $12,000 for "creating unnecessary litigation" and threatening her and her attorney with disbarment.

    Is this a trick question?

I’d say it sucks more to be Pearson’s victims. He brought all his troubles on himself (except for the original lost pants), and he’s clearly demonstrated he’s ineligible for any office requiring judgment.

The only problem is that now DC will have to deal with his $100 billion wrongful-termination suit.
