A weekend of art, part two

If you’re busy on Saturday and can’t make it to Art on the Avenue, of if you’re one of our more westerly Virginia readers, maybe Sunday’s Clifton Day would be more to your liking. This one’s a mystery to me, because although it’s Clifton’s 40th it’ll be our first time exhibiting there. It sounds very much in the vein shows we’ve attended – but not worked – in the Annandale area. Maybe it’s different for those of you who grew up in areas where buildings were more than fifty years old, but for a Miami boy like me it’s a fun experience walking around a quaint little old town… even if someone went and build a big old suburb all around it.

Getting to Clifton without a car is a little more involved than Art on the Avenue, though they have several ways set up, including the VRE from Burke, which sounds pretty neat to me. Getting in is free but the ride back is $5, so if you come make sure you don’t spend all your coin on fair food and trinkets.
