I've seen several around Arlington, nice to see they're authorized for public use. I'm a little weirded out by their feature of carbon offsets on their website, as I'm not sure anyone has really decided what these really mean, or how they're administered. Seems like snake oil to me. Makes you feel good, but you're not sure what's actually happening.

When are we gonna learn that the British style cabs are the way to go? They are so far superior to the car and SUV cabs we have here its not even funny. There is more luggage room than you'd ever need, and its INSIDE the cab with you, not in the trunk. Whats more, there are 2 fold-down seats (facing towards the normal 3 seats, limo-style) for a total of FIVE seats in the back. They feel much more solid as well, not all bouncy-bouncy like our cabs. Someone please by a fleet of them for DC or NY!

I recently posted about hybrids in NYC, and a commenter preferred the Escape cabs - easier to enter and exit than the Prius.
