Rex, vball courts are in stretch of field bordered by road parallel to Potomac River, road that takes you to FDR and Jefferson Memorials which goes underneath the Memorial Bridge and Lions at Gate to Memorial Bridge.

I hate the new crosswalks. 2 times a day, I have to drive through them. Folks ( including DC folks who get dropped off in the middle of the block!!!) cross in the middle of the road rather than wait for the light. I feel like I am playing frogger most nights! OH - and tourists cant read. They can figure out it says - TO CROSS PUSH BUTTON!

I appreciate the buttons and the walks when they work! I wish we could think of a tunnel or a ped/bike bridge!

Huh, it's surprising that you two don't notice a traffic flow difference considering all the backed up cars I see there. Also, the time or two I've driven through that intersection since its makeover, its been a seemingly longer slog with mis-timed lights that only let a handful of cars pass for each light cycle.

I am a driver that takes that turn to access the vball courts at rush hour. I don't mind that there is a crosswalk and a light to tell me not to drive thru like a maniac which I did when there was no light there and the way was cleared for me to go, regardless of pedestrians.

I like to know when I have a right to go (and plow into tourists who choose to cross against the signal at their own risk esp when I am late for the game) or not to go. I think it is a respectful relationship when you have these boundaries.

That's my primary District entrance and exit point and I haven't had a problem there yet.

Also, as someone who worked at Lincoln for 5 years - those crosswalk upgrades were sorely needed.
