More Chances to “Ride the Whirlwind”

AFI Silver has extended the run of the magnificent “Lawrence of Arabia” with daily showings at 3pm and 7:15pm from August 31 through September 13. That’s right, daily!

My viewing a few weeks ago reinforced my love for both a sublime film and theater experience. If you’ve been too lazy to catch it, then you really have no bloody excuse now – “HUT HUT HUT!!”

Jenn, based on your previous post, I took my kids to see LOA af AFI last weekend. They enjoyed the experience as did I. the theater is simply wonderful and beautiful. Do they show all movies on the 70mm screen? thanks again.

Hi Radman, I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed it!

AFI Silver has three theaters – the one that LoA was in is the restored original Art Deco theater and the two others are smaller stadium seaters. Usually the epics are shown on the larger screen, sometimes they are classics, but sometimes first run (I saw “The New World” on that screen which was very appropriate), you just have to check the website. If you get a membership you can get special passes too. Definitely worth checking out!
