Dragonfly Closed: No More Sushi & Smokes
Give a moment to morn Dragonfly Bar, a Dupont Circle haven of euro-disco and movie projections in all-white funky retro interiors.
I’d miss Dragonfly if I were single. I stalked the hotties there back in my day, pulling a few birds during late night prowls.
Prowls that always had me repulsed at Dragonfly’s dinner options. Who really wanted sushi with a side of cigarette smoke? I sure didn’t.
Dragonfly and Local 16 are owned by the same company/person. You can now enjoy sushi at Local 16, complete with Dragonfly chopsticks.
Word is that Dragonfly got sold to the owners of Fly Lounge but I can’t confirm that (it was from some drunk chick at the bar). They’ve gutted the whole building so I can confirm that they aren’t keeping the decor.
Dragonfly’s closing night was at the end of May. Word on the street is that they got bought and will be resurrected in a new form.
It’s “mourn,” not “morn.” Get it together.
Deep breaths WPKIII, Wayan’s strong suit is not his perfect spelling and grammar…
I am particulary interested in the “euro disco” part, what’s that? :P
