Assuming the high Tax rate of 10%, If he bought $45 worth of booze he would pay $4.50 in taxes or $49.50 Total. Pretty Close to what he did pay. So even if its 10% off the Subtotal of $45 he would get $4.50 back. Actually a little more since some of the tax should technically be returned as well. Maybe this was sarcasm? Discounts are not programmed into their computers, you get incompetent service and they don't have anything I can't get elsewhere. I think Harris Teeter has a similar wine deal, but my six-pack only comes to about $18 so I don't worry about it. That’s 10% of the total before tax. Duh.
