Wet Cement Calling Out For a Name
Just look at that smooth wet cement. Unblemished by name or print.
You know it calls out for a name, a mark, a permanent identification of presence. Some way to show that you were here today.
If it does call to just you, be sure to be quick and discrete on the fresh concrete. And no matter what you might think, don’t drive in it.
A simple “you ♥ someone” will do.
It looks like “Johanna” already claimed it, as did some pigeons who left their prints. Damn!
Wow, now those must’a been some very fat pigeons! Check out the close-up
I saw a bunch of pigeons on 20th between N and O pounding through some old bread and baguettes on the sidewalk this morning. I’d assume this is their handiwork.
This is a perfect advertising opportunity. Just imagine dc.metblogs.com emblazoned there. You can’t beat the number of eyes that would glance at it each day! It makes me regret that I wrote “Carl wuz heer,” now that I think of it.
Or how about the address for an employment agency, as that particular block seems to be host to at least half a dozen beggars every day.
