DC Ethiopian Restaurant Favorites
Tonight Mom is enjoying Lalibela Restaurant at 14th and P Streets NW. This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Washington DC, but is it yours?
Which of our many tasty East African chiefs tempts your tummy with the taste of injera and wat?
Points given for spice and honey wine. Best if they do not run out of Harar beer mid-meal and are actually in the District.
Is that outdoor seating I see?
Etete over on 9th St. ain’t that bad either. you been? how does that compare to Lalibela (haven’t been there).
I second for Etete. And they make their own honey wine!
We love Dukem. It has outdoor seating. And time it right and they have live music and Ethiopian coffee.
Yep, Lalibela has outdoor seating and in my personal indicator of good ethnic food of any kind, every time I go there, I am one of the few, if only, not-of-that-ethnicity there.
That and they always have enough Harar for all the spice!
I like Addis Ababa Restaurant in Silver Spring, Maryland: http://www.addisababarestaurant.com/
Harar Beer is sooo yummy, too.
