Green Line to National Airport?
This is an odd WMATA Metrorail sign for the Green Line: National Airport.
When the train arrived it was a Yellow Line train, suggesting that while Metrorail has its lines right it is not adjusting to the off-peak Yellow Line extention.
Might WMATA stop the confusion and make the extension both permanent and full service? Those of us who ride and work on the Yellow Line/Green Line would be appreciative.
I hate the extension only because the Green Line gets stuck behind the Yellow at FT and then we have to sit there for ages while they move the Yellow off the Green’s track. At 9:00 p.m. on a weeknight, that’s a real pain.
They had an announcement on the PIDs all last week warning that the information displayed on them might not be accurate. I’m assuming it’s related to whatever issue was causing that.
I’m with AH. Having Yellow trains turn around at FT really jams things up. They may as well have them go all the way out to Greenbelt.
