Happiness is Baltika Beer @ Domku

It is my first time at Domku and I am ecstatic. My new local has Baltika beer, my drunken joy from Russia.

The interior matches the beer selection. Odd tables and mis-matched chairs give a funky, fun vibe. The crowd is a little too Tryst for me but a Baltika 9 can change the view quickly.

I can see many stumblings home from this Petworth gem in my future.

it is funny to see that this beer is so well-known. while regular beer is sold by packs of six, this baltika is sold by units, cause “it’s ze - best!” according to rodmans’ staff (or also known as ethiopian mafia) at wisconsin avenue. price coorresponds to description too: $3 per bottle. i never tried it but will trust your word! another finding is that russian embassy has a store with great prices, but only those who has access to embassy can buy stuff there. i am in search of a russian diplomat now.
