CIA Director receiving threats from Arlington man

Arlington Police are on their way to pick the guy up. No joke. I just heard it on the scanner. He is probably 10-96 (a nut job) but it makes for interesting listening all the same.

Yeah – I wish I had the forthought to record from the scanner but I don’t have enough tape to do that all the time!

Hey, haven’t you heard? VA cops are trying to get away from 10-codes. As a scanner person, I guess you would know best — is plain talk taking hold?

I know they are doing away with the ten-codes but they are still out there. I am actually curious if the new system will be completely adhered to once it is rolled out. Arlington is also getting rid of their trunked 800MHz system in about a year, as I understand, so perhaps the two changes will happen simultaneously.

I think 10-96 will stay on though, because it’s bad form for the police to refer to some “crazy fucker” on the air.
