We Are In The Big Leagues Now!
Can you see that big smile on Don’s face? That is the grin that comes when your hobby is now a national trend.
He, I, and a Metblogs crew are here representing at the Washington Post Blogger Summit.
While we are feeling all special now with our Post love, you can put us back into our place at the Post Pub After Party.
*geek alert*
Next thing we know you’re be posting about the iPhone and iTV from Apple….
Don turn around and pay-a-freaking-ttention!
Damn, I’m supposed to be there. Oops. Looks like…fun?
Hey, DCSC! I was looking for you! Sorry you didn’t make it.
For more air time, since the Posties didn’t seem to want to let Wayan question the panel some more, we thought that the entire table shoudl raise their hand at once in support… too bad Don, Doug, Carl, Max and WFY chickened out…
Food wasn’t bad… the lawyer went on FOREVER.
Other bloggers seemed very concentrated on the propesed ads on their proposed “blortal” (can I claim new word status here?.. sice “pog” is already taken) for the WaPo communities. A lot of good ideas were proposed, however, in reality probably not technically feasible or useful in the long run. I’m pretty sure the “geocoding” crank was a plant by the USGS…. but who am I to say?
For me, the lawyer was the most interesting bit of the evening. This event should have been better described in advance. Great for folks who see themselves as citizen-journalists. Not much interest for those of us who just tell stories about living in the area. But at least I got a free dinner…
They had free food????? Now I really hate myself for not going.
Sadly I was just out of range for this photo. I’m going to spend lunch Photoshopping myself in.
The only chicken I noticed were the Thai satays with peanut sauce (yum!) ;-)
it was a good gathering…
it was an interesting event
in the end
my life has not changed
much like some others in attendance
I was not sure if it really applied to me
not sure my blog is for mass consumption
good meeting you folks
oh yea
wayan’s girlfriend was cute
while wayan was far less affeminant in person as he is online
okay…
that is the word on the street
to be quite honest
I am not sure I have ever read any of Wayan’s stuff
oh… don is cute too
but you know that
as he is pictured above
Aw, shucks.
